Some lovely reviews of the novel are now arriving

Suzanne – Amazon *****

The story of Sonny & Ruby is out there and being read by hundreds of people, and it is so nice to see that readers are invested in the characters.

For fans of the likes of Sliding Doors, David Nicholls, Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen, What Might Have Been by Holly Miller, If I Can’t Have You by Charlotte Levin, The Idea of You by Robinne Lee.

This book is about crazy times, fleeting romances, lifelong love, friendships and coming-of-age revelations, with breathtaking moments that have you reaching for the tissues. The Old Familiar Places is also about yearning, music, love, grief, and friendship.

A low note of feeling sorrowful as Sony stares at his sister’s grave at the funeral of their mum’s friend, and Ruby Wilson’s husband, Freddie Wilson, who died in a tragic accident.

The Old Familiar Places by Sam Emony was a very strongly written book, and I just loved it from the beginning till the end. Sam the author wrote this from his heart. This is a book that will have you laugh out loud and then the next, it will have you looking for some tissues…………it will play with your emotions, so be warned.
This book is mainly about two people Sonny and Ruby, their story and their love of jazz.

It takes you from the suburban of Manchester to London and then to New York. So hold tight it will be a wonderful ride!

The cover of The Old Familiar Places is wonderful and perfect for this book. I loved it. I highly recommend it.
